Opportunity Cost

This passage mainly speaks about the difference in opportunity cost for people doing the same thing and the value of money you could make doing something else. For example, Chirs Rock made earnings far exceeding the avgerage 21 year-old when he was 21. The average 21 is in college and the tuition average about 20,000 a year. If Chris Rock was making a average of 1 million a year, why would he need to go to college. The opportunity cost was too costly for him to got to college, when he make more than the most college graduate. He choose to cotinue his career because he would probably make more money in the end.
Opportunity Cost- The most highly value oppurtunity or alternative forteited when a choice is made. Ex. You go to college for 30,000 dollars when you could work for 100,000 dollars a year.
Think About It
My opportunity cost for going to college would be going to the Marine, or the Air Force.
